Bio Of Sarz & Achievements

Osabuohien Osaretin popularly known as Sarz is a music producer who hails from benin city, edo state. Born on the 17th Day of March 1989, into a family of 3 children he is the second child. Sarz got into the
music scene when he had a personal experience with life, so he turned to Music and began to develop his skills making beats. He sold his first beat just one week after it was done and named himself what is easily the most sought after name in Nigerian music production today, ‘BeatsBySarz’.

Sarz polished his craft as he worked with some up & coming acts. 2007 was sarz’s breakout year, as his production for Lord of ajasa’s “See drama” attracted more attention to him. Sarz has consistently produced Hits since his breakout In the music industry.
Sarz went on to produce the monster Hit “Kondo” by Dagrin (RIP), Shank’s “kingkong”, YQ’s “i like girls” and “Joor” by jahbless making Sarz one of the producers on every artists “producer to work with list”.
In 2010 Sarz advanced further in the right direction as he continued to make more Hits. He produced the nationwide hit “jor oh” remix by jahbless which featured durella, rugged man, reminisce, iceprince and eLDee. The song fast became an anthem on the streets, and the whole Nation, and won the best street hop song and was nominated for best collaboration at the headies.
In 2011, Sarz added more big names to his list of clients and produced more Hits.Artistes like naeto c, banky w, skales, shank, reminisce, goldie (RIP), eLDee etc. He produced hits like Shank’s “salute”, eLDee’s “today today” & “wash wash”, skales “mukulu”, Goldie’s “don’t touch my body” & Reminisce’s “kako bi chicken” which was nominated for best street hop at the headies 2012.
In 2012, Sarz went on and like wildfire, he continued to spread. He was immediately called upon to be involved in the EME compilation album, where he made songs like “Get Down Tonight”, “Ko mo le”, “Dance for me” and “My Baby”. Later in the same year he solely produced eLDee’s “Undeniable” album (except “We made it”). Sarz got nominated for producer of the year award (NEA) alongside Don Jazzy, although Don Jazzy won the award but he ended up giving the award to Sarz saying “No one else deserved it more, considering the hardwork Sarz has put in and the number of Hits to his credit”. Sarz Later Got nominated and Won the “Producer of the Year award” at the 2012 Dynamix Awards. He then went on to release his first single “Beat Of Life (samba)” featuring Wizkid off his coming album. Beat of Life instantly became a Nationwide Hit, spreading to the UK,US, South Africa, Ghana,Uganda,Zambia,Kenya etc. Since the release of this single, beat of life has constantly been on every countdown on every radio station for the past 8months.
In the present year 2013 Sarz continues, producing Hit songs like “Eziokwu” for Lynxxx featuring Ill-Bliss,Ikechukwu and Phyno…And the presently Most sort after “jaiye jaiye” by Wizkid featuring Femi kuti, its obvious that he is no doubt a Force.
Sarz has been nominated for the Producer of the year award (NEA), Song of the year award “Beat of Life” (NEA) and also won the Music Producer of the year Award (City People Awards 2013)…
Sarz doesn’t just make beats, he sees music as a part of his being, in his words he says ‘Music is my life support machine…I am empty without it’. Sarz has put in alot of work over the last few years with well over 70 tracks to his credit. In 5 years, Sarz believes he will be the biggest producer in Africa.
